John Key is a fourth generation attorney, following in the footsteps of his father, grandfather and great-grandfather. "From the time I was a little boy I knew I wanted to practice law. During the summers Dad would take me to court with him and I would watch in amazement as he preached to the juries like an old Southern tent-preacher."
John started trying cases the first week he was licensed by the State Bar. "I have to admit, standing in front of my first jury was the most frightening thing I'd ever done, but when the jury came back with a verdict in favor of my client, I was hooked."
"I started handling divorce cases immediately after graduating from law school. A divorce is one of the most traumatic events that most people with ever endure. Each case is different, whether it's a knock-down, drag-out battle over money or child custody, or the simple uncontested divorce. Each case has it's own unique set of circumstances that must be approached in different ways. It's the lawyer's skill and experience that plays a huge role in the outcome of the case. "
John Key graduated from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 1997.
